Technologies

Powerlock
SRAM engineers developed Powerlock as a safe and easy way to connect the two ends of the chain. Powerlock does not require special tools for LInstallation, but the particularly restricted tolerances of 10, 11 and 12 speed transmissions require that each Powerlock be used for a single application only.

Flattop
To put X-Range technology alive, Sram had to develop a narrower chain. LThe exclusive shape of the Flattop mesh not only has it allowed to expand the range of gears, but also to make the functioning of the transmission more silent and to increase the resistance and duration of the chain.
