The Buzzrack EAZZY 2 Bike Platform Car Rack is designed so that you can carry your bikes with minimal fuss or hassle. Carry 2 bikes without any extra attachments and simply attach the EAZZY car rack to your tow bar and off you go. This rack offers excellent stability and security, designed to carry a heavy load of up to 40kg, or 20kg per bike. You can secure your bikes via ratchet straps and then lock your bikes to the carrier and the carrier to your car to look after your prized possessions. When it comes to moving around with the EAZZY rack, it folds up for easy storage in seconds and if you need to access your boot while the rack is in use, you can simply use the tilt function and you have complete access to the rear of your car. It is also suitable for carbon bikes as the rubber padded frame cradles and offers a firm yet protective grip. Please be advised:The maximum per bike capacity of the Buzzrack Eazzy 2 is 20kg. For carrying e-bikes, 99 Bikes recommend that you weigh your e-bike, with the battery removed, before purchasing the EAZZY 2 rack so that you don’t exceed the maximum weight limitations of the rack.
Assembly:The Eazzy 2 is supplied fully assembled, except for the lights which are attached with only 1 screw each side (which makes these lights particularly easy to replace if damaged), and theres 1 bolt for the number plate holder all fittings and a tool are supplied.
Fitting to the car:You fit the Eazzy 2 in its folded state, which leaves you with all the space you need to work on the tow ball fitting system. When you first place it on the tow ball it supports itself you can let go of it and it wont fall to the ground. Youll then take the weight again, spin the tightening wheel until its tight, and lock it. BUZZRACKs carriers comply with the very exacting standard XPR-18-902-2 and therefore include an anti-sway tensioner; this has an integrated handle and 2 or 2 turns are usually sufficient.
Lighting system:The Eazzy 2 comes with a 13 pin lighting system.
Tilting:Tilting is easy, and is very well balanced even with a full load. The Eazzy 2 sits quite high on the tow ball, and the tilt function is optimised to prevent the lights from hitting the road surface, while still using the weight of the bikes to help bring the bike platform back to the level again in a controlled way. But this geometry doesnt allow for tall vertical tailgates to be opened e.g. VW Transporter T5 and T6.
