The OPEN UPPER 2.0 Frameset is a fast, light, and agile gravel bike designed for riders who want speed without sacrificing comfort. Whether you’re racing gravel, tackling fast tarmac rides, or packing for an overnighter, the U.P.P.E.R. delivers efficient performance across mixed terrain. Its frame blends aerodynamic shaping at the front with proven compliance in the rear, making it easier to hold your position over long distances while still cutting through the wind. Made entirely in Portugal, this frame reflects OPENs commitment to sustainability and precision quality.
Designed for tires between 35mm and 46mm, the OPEN UPPER balances sharp, responsive handling with all-day comfort. Ultra-thin seatstays help absorb vibrations from rough terrain, while straight chainstays ensure maximum power transfer when you’re putting down the watts.
New for this build is the OPEN B.A.R. (Break All Rules) one-piece carbon handlebar and stem. Its closed-structure composite design reduces weight and eliminates stress risers for greater long-term durability. An integrated expander secures the bar to the steerer and allows for 15mm of fore-aft adjustment in 5mm increments to the reach ( A visualizer showing how adjustments can be made is shown below).
The deep headtube, internal routing, and aero-specific handlebars all contribute to its low-drag profile, while features like a T47 threaded bottom bracket and UDH derailleur compatibility make it easy to maintain and upgrade. This is a bike thats built to go fast, but also built to last.
