Inside, the “ball and socket” design of the spherical Technology developed together with Mips, the brain protection system allows the EPS external foam cap to rotate around the internal cap during an impact to help redirect the impact forces away from the brain and therefore reduce the negative effects. In addition, the progressive stratification of the internal and external cap helps to offer more complete protection: the external cap is more rigid to resist most impacts while the internal cap is more “soft” to reduce the effects to the head.
