The Merida Big Nine Limited is a hardtail mountain bike limited by name only – read to hit the trails hard. The lightweight Big Nine Alloy frame with race proven geometry comes with internally routed cables in 2021 to minimise maintenance and keep your bike looking clean. it features a long reach, steep seat angle and slack head angle for aggressive agility with a good dose of stability. It runs a simple yet sleek 1×11 speed Shimano Deore Drivetrain which is more than capable when it comes to those hard climbs as it rolls with smooth efficiency and clean gear changes. A 1x setup is the gold standard in mountain biking as it offers a wide range of gears yet the simplicity minimises hassle and maintenance.

The Big Nine Limited is a equipped with a Manitou Markhor Comp Fork (51mm offset) with remote lockout and 100mm travel for a smooth and agile ride. It wouldn’t be the Big Nine without 29″ Merida Comp CC Wheels and Maxxis Ikon 2.2″ Tyres for a quick and smooth ride. Ride with confidence, hitting every descent or turn hard thanks to the reliable Tektro M275 2 Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes which give you unmatched control in all conditions. Features

Multiple Frame Options: The LITE features the same race-proven geometry as the carbon models, the TFS bikes offer a more relaxed geometry, through a shorter top tube and a higher head tube, resulting in a more upright riding position and enhanced trail visibility. The TFS frames feature internal cable routing (except the BIG.NINE/BIG.SEVEN 15), smooth welding, tapered head tube, inboard disc mounts, and mounts for fenders, rear rack and kickstand.

Classic Hardtails: Our classic hardtails are the backbone of our range and showcase the enormous wealth of experience and knowledge we were able to gain in 48 years of bike production and manufacturing. Dropper Post Ready:All models down to the BIG.NINE LITE frame level feature a 30.9 mm seat post, the enhanced connection area increases the strength around the top tube/seat tube join and allows the option of fitting a dropper seat post. Models down to BIG.NINE LIMITED allow internal cable routing for the dropper post while the remaining models would require external routing.

Modern Hardtail Geometry:Our carbon and LITE aluminium models feature a long 422 mm reach, steep 73.5 seat angle, slack 70 head angle and an 80 mm stem (BIG.NINE M), affording the BIG.NINE next-generation XC geometry. Aggressive agility meets stable calmness; perfect for todays demanding courses.
